75kms Non Stop, One Way » 01

The previous weekend I had a hard time due to the wind dropping off. It meant getting out of the buggy frequently to launch kite, which had either dropped down behind a dune or to clear a line snagged on a dry ground plant.
Yesterday, with my trusty 4.9 Blade, I could make a one way run for 75.2 kms on a ‘Z’ shaped route through the desert finishing up on a small sealed desert road.
I felt pretty good & just kept going & going. Most of it was across sabkah, which meant managing an overall average speed of 30.9 kph but my top speed was only 58.1 kph.
Shade temp was 46ºC but it warmed up later to 50ºC. It seems this year that 50ºC seems the cut off point where Weather Gods have set the temperature limit.
