New Rails for the DB1 » 06

Note that I also moved the rails closer togther as I wanted to just squeeze into the buggy.
The new DB-1 side rail will fit straight on the top of it.

Finally, a top view of the DB-1, which you will notice has long rails out at the back. This was done because I want to experiment with the rail pushed all the way back and try & make a seat that put me more in a laying down position. The Libre seat that I use on it is still doing well

The only thing I didn’t do well, which I notice affects the comfort when buggying long distances is that I changed the rake angle from 66º to 62º. All my future buggies will have a rake angle of 66 to 68º.

I’ve put some padding over the rear of the rails for safety purposes only.
My mate who owns the workshop where I build my buggies has fallen out with the Zinc plater, so I had it powder coated. I think it will be OK but only time will tell.

I checked the side rails on my PL Comp (mod,) two nights ago and they are shot , so I will make new rails for that now so that I will have all my buggies in good condition.
