2013 CLASS 8 – KITE BUGGY EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Borkum 2013Its that time of the year again, when all the top racing pilots from Europe compete against one another to become the king and Queeen of Kite Buggy Class 8 Racing.

The 2013 European Championships of kite buggy Class 8 under FISLY-rules will take place in Germany on the beautiful island of Borkum.

The German Parakart Association Kitesailing e.V. (GPA) will be hosting the event from the 10th to 14th of September 2013.

Borkum is bordered to the west by the Westerems strait (which forms the border with the Netherlands), to the east by the Osterems strait, to the north by the North Sea, and to the south by the Wadden Sea. It is the largest and westernmost of the East Frisian Islands in the North Sea, due north of the Dutch province of Groningen.

The island was formed by two previously separate islands which were still separated by a shallow water in 1863. The seam between the former eastern and western parts is called Tüskendör (“through in between”). Source Wikipedia
